As reported at CentralIllinoisProud.com, the pain at the pump may be a thing of the past.
In fact, local prices have fallen as low as $1.49. The nationwide average price for a gallon of unleaded gas is currently one dollar-75 cents a gallon. That’s a slide of 22 cents over the past two weeks, marking the lowest prices have been in more than four years.
Stats show crude oil prices have also dropped by more than nine dollars a barrel over the past two weeks. Experts expect oil and gas prices to bottom out this month, rising slightly in the new year.
